The Little Square Gallery

About

the concept

ARTISTICALLY CURATED AND STYLED, CONTEMPORARY EXHIBITS OF TREASURED PICTURES. CRAFTED WITH METICULOUS CARE FROM THE FINEST ARCHIVAL MATERIALS. TIMELESS, BESPOKE COMMISSIONS DESIGNED TO BE ENJOYED FOR YEARS TO COME.

the story

Natalie Hammett founded The Little Square Gallery following a desire to enjoy, display and archive her favourite picture collections with stylish effect. So many special photographs were sitting stored away in some virtual cloud, and all those wonderful paper artworks created by her children's little hands tucked away in a hidden cupboard. Uninspired by the idea of purchasing a regular personalised picture product, or placing standard prints in basic frames, she applied her passion for art to design her own mini galleries. From the compliments received, it soon became clear that there was a distinct gap in the market for high-end picture display options for the style conscious. Thereafter Natalie mastered the skill of professional picture editing, designed a boutique commission range, partnered with a highly skilled fine art printing and framing company, and 'The Little Square Gallery' was born in 2013.

Natalie's disappointment with the options to display her own pictures was our gain... the result is these artistically curated and crafted 'memory frames' where each much-loved image is styled with care to preserve and create stunning displays.

the difference

At one end of the spectrum there are a multitude of companies that mass-produce regular picture products, at the other there is The Little Square Gallery using their artistic expertise to beautifully style and exhibit your treasured pictures as contemporary gallery-worthy commissions. The Little Square Gallery does not use quick one-tap picture editing filters, or reproduce basic prints or collage posters, or use off-the-shelf frames. Every aspect of each commission is designed and crafted with meticulous attention to detail, using the finest archival materials so they may be enjoyed for years to come.

This is the first thing that my husband noticed, the soft shadows behind each square that make each photo stand out more in their own right. The end result was something far beyond my wildest dreams, and well beyond what I'd ever be able to manage on my own. I honestly can't stop looking at it and all the memories captured within. It's such a quality piece of artwork that we'll treasure forever.

the detail

Each treasured picture is carefully styled to create the finest artistic, natural reproduction. For photographs, colours are enhanced and harmonised with subtlety, light corrected, contrast balanced, clarity adjusted, and distracting anomalies removed. For children's artwork, designs and colours are clarified, blemishes such as paper creases or obvious ink smudges carefully removed, and picture backgrounds harmonised or embellished as complements the piece. Giclèe prints, presented on fade-resistant archival fine art paper, display imagery with the finest clarity. These prints are individually arranged to form a balanced design and artistically mounted against artboard. Solid wood frames skilfully handcrafted-to-order to a consistently high standard, using specialist equipment and materials from managed and sustainable sources, ensure the finest presentation and preservation of each commission.
